Self-Service SIM Re-registration App To Be Launched, Subscribers To Pay ₵5

The Minister for Communications, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, has announced that a self-service sim reregistration app will be launched on August 2. According to her, this app will enable the public re-register their sim cards in the comfort of their homes without having to queue at any network operator’s office. Speaking at a press briefing on Sunday, Mrs Owusu-Ekuful said that the app will be available for download on both android and IOS this week barring any unforeseen circumstances. Minister of Communications and Digitalization, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has extended the deadline again for the SIM re-registration exercise which should have ended today Sunday, July 31. She said she reluctantly granted the request to prolong the deadline following a number of genuine reasons that have been given by stakeholders including the telecom companies. 2022 WASSCE Begins

This year’s West African Senior Schools Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) is scheduled to start today, Monday, August 1 with project work subjects. According to the schedule of examining body West African Examinations Council (WAEC), the exams will finish on Tuesday, September 27. A total of 422,883 candidates from 977 schools have registered for the exams. There will be 72 with visual impairment and 14 with hearing impairment.
