Owusu Bempah Contributes Widow’s Mite To Support NPP’s Campaign At Agogo
With the 2020 general elections a few weeks away political commentator and Corporate Communications Manager of Ghana Gas, Ernest Owusu Bempah, has donated a his widow’s mite to the Asante Akyem North constituency office of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to aid the ruling party in its campaign to continue its good works.
The items donated at the constituency head office at Agogo were six motorbikes, T-shirts, boxes of branded pens, 25 pieces of android phones, hand sanitizers, three thousand posters, and bundles of party flags
They were received by the Constituency Chairman, Mr. Sampson Adjei, who expressed his greatest appreciation of Mr. Owusu Bempah’s donation.
“It will go a long way for us to move to remote areas most of them inaccessible to spread the good news about the NPP’s achievements in the last three and half years.”
Explaining the gesture, Mr. Owusu Bempah said the items are to help the ruling party in its determined efforts to retain power come the December elections.
Those present included the Constituency Vice-chairman Mr.Nyantakyi, as well as the Treasurer, Constituency Secretary and coordinators.
Asante Akyem North’s Achievement Under NPP
Under the current NPP administration, the Asante Akyem North District Assembly was ranked first in the 2018/2019 District league table.
It obtained a total score of 100% which was higher than any of the 216 Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies
The District League table is published annually by UNICEF in partnership with Centre for Democratic Developments and key sectors.
The indicators for determining the score on the District Table are specific to education, health, water, sanitation and child protection based on existing data.
