Actress Yvonne Nelson‘s much-hyped Valentine’s Day movie ‘The Men We Love’ has drawn negative reviews from some netizens after watching.
The actress turned producer released the Valentine’s Day thriller, ‘The Men We Love’ on February 14th.
The movie, starring Yvonne, Majid Michel, Shatta Michy, James Gardiner, Kofi Adjorlolo and others, premiered at the Silverbird Cinemas on the day of love.
Prior to its release, Yvonne underwent a massive media campaign to promote it.
The campaign seems to have worked as the movie itself was sold out.

However, as it so often happens, it seems the product failed to live up to the hype.
Some reviews coming out so far are more negative than positive.
Social media personality Sugar Kwami expressed disappointment in the acting and script of the movie.
“The movie ‘the men we love’ was a big disappointment in my personal opinion. Majid and his wife were the best. The rest need to up their acting skills and we need a better script,” he wrote.
His comment brought others in with similar complaints.
“It’s true…I watched it yesterday and I was like ah…she just got it the platform to hype it cos there is nothing special about the movie,” a netizen wrote.
Early reviews so far seem to indicate that the movie-going experience was nice, the movie, not so much.

Hopefully, producers take this criticism in stride and work to better the next movie down the line.
