Over 100,000 Students Would Have Stayed Home But For The Introduction Of Free SHS – Dr. Stephen Amoah

The Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso Constituency, Dr. Stephen Amoah has categorically defended the introduction of the Free Senior High School by the Akufo-Addo led government.

He explained that the introduction of the initiative was to ensure equity, improve accessibility to all Ghanaian children, making sure that money did not become a barrier to accessing education in the country.

According to the Nhyiaeso Legislator, a chunk of students numbering about 100,000 would have stayed home had it not been the good interventions put in place.

Speaking on Wontumi Radio/Tv’s “Talk Ghana”, Dr. Stephen Amoah reiterated that parents are enjoying free SHS which could not be done by the NDC.

“About 100,000 students would have forfeited education if Nana Addo had not introduced the Free SHS,” he told Oheneba Nana Asiedu.

He cautioned Ghanaians not to consider the opposition NDC in a comeback bid because they have nothing to offer the country adding that the NDC only comes to destroy the economy.

Dr. Amoah reminded Ghanaians that the Akufo-Addo led government is on course in terms of developmental projects which were never the priority of the NDC.
