The Ashanti regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party has forewarned former President Mahama to abandon his vision of ascending the Presidential throne again.
Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako in an exclusive interview with Wontumionline.com, stated that former President Mahama’s visit to Manhyia today should give him a hint he has lost the 2020 Presidential elections.
According to the NPP Chairman, the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, spoke in parables to the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress.
He advised him to get wise men to decode the message of the King to him especially the part which directs him to tell Ghanaians his mistake and be transparent to them.
The Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, today told the leadership of the NDC to be truthful to Ghanaians as they go about their campaign.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II in an interaction with the elders of the NDC, led by former President John Mahama, established that the NDC should be bold and tell Ghanaians the mistakes they made when they were in government.
He directed former President and his campaign team to tell “Ghanaians your mistakes” and also be “truthful to them when you are campaigning”.
He also chided the party leaders for abandoning the Manhyia Palace ever since they lost the 2016 general elections.
The respected King in a welcome address to former President John Mahama and his team who paid him a visit noted that for a very long time, the leadership of the NDC had not visited him like they did before when they were in government.
“You only visit me when you were in power, it has been a while you came to visit me. Today I have seen people who for a very long time, I haven’t set eyes on”, he said in an address monitored by Wontumionline.com.
