OSP, Kissi Agyebeng’s Appointment Listed As Akufo-Addo’s Regret- Paul Yandoh

One of Akufo-Addo’s regret as President is the appointment of Kissi Agyebeng as Special Prosecutor (SP), Mr. Paul Yandoh has said.

“I think that one of the things and appointment Akufo-Addo has made and seriously regretted it in his world is to create the Office of the Special Prosecutor”, Paul Yandoh said on the Wontumi Morning Show.

The Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng, on Thursday, August 8, 2024, made a public announcement that former President John Mahama did no wrong with the Airbus scandal that has been hanging around his neck.

“Former President Mahama admitted that during his term as Vice President of the Republic, he met with officials of Airbus sometime in February or March 2011 on an official trip to London – where the Airbus team made a representation to government on their products, including helicopters. He stated that it was a formal meeting attended also by the Minister of Finance, representatives of the Ministry of Defence and the Commander of the Ghana Air Force,” part of the OSP’s report reads.

But the Ashanti Regional Communication Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), stated that with time, Kissi Agyebeng has demonstrated to Ghanaians that he is incompetent and unfit to occupy the office as SP.

“It is as if all the people who have been appointed to occupy the position don’t understand their work. It is either they are incompetent, backstabbers, power drunk, you can’t even wrap your head around it”, Paul Yandoh said.
