O’Reilly Student Murder: Deceased To Be Buried On October 18

The family of O’Reilly student who was murdered by his schoolmate has fixed October 18, 2024 for his funeral.

His distraught father, Enock Bortey Sackey tells Adom News the family decision is as a result of progress of the case at the La District Court.

In a turn of event in the Republic Vs Godwin Mawuli case, Prosecutor, Paul Osei Adjei said the duplicate docket has been forwarded to the Attorney-General’s office.

He indicated that, due to procedural requirements, it will pass through the Regional Office and Headquarters before reaching its final destination.

To expedite the process, the investigator has been tasked with personally following up on the matter, given its significant public interest.

In a stern address to the father of the deceased Edward Bortey Sackey, the judge emphasized that the docket preparation is complete and has been forwarded.

The judge urged him not to slack off, advising him to maintain pressure on the police to ensure progress in the case.

The accused, Godwin Mawuli, has been remanded for two weeks again, and the case has been adjourned until October 21, 2024.

The judge urged Gordon Mawuli to get a legal representation.
