Only Kufour Can Be Compared To Akufo-Addo In Terms Of Road Construction- Abronye
Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe aka Abronye has unequivocally stated that, the only President in the history of the 4th Republic that can be compared to President Akufo-Addo in terms of road construction is former President John Agyekum Kufour.
According to him, former President Kufour constructed a chunk of the roads in the Bono Region.
Speaking on the Nsempa Fie Political Show on Wontumi Radio/TV, Abronye noted that, Kufour constructed, “the Techiman – Nkoranza road, Techiman- Kumasi road, Techiman – Wenchi road and Wenchi – Seikwa which is the hometown of Asiedu Nketiah.”
He said that, in the first term of Nana Akufo-Addo’s administration, all the poor road networks were given to contractors for rehabilitation.
Abronye jabbed, Nana Akufo-Addo didn’t use aeroplane for campaign so he was able to identify all the poor road networks in the country.
According to the Bono Regional Chairman he is happy the President has retained the Minister of Roads and Highways, Hon. Amoako Atta to continue his good works.
Kwame Baffoe is hopeful, that by the end of 2023, 70% of the roads would be fixed.
