Okuapehene Issues Stern Warning Against Illegal Sale Of Stool Lands

Okuapehene His Majesty Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III has delivered a resolute message condemning the illicit sale of stool lands within Okuapeman.

The cautionary statement was issued during the fifth Awukudae observation at the Okuapehene’s Palace in Akropong.

For years, unscrupulous individuals have been unlawfully selling stool lands to unsuspecting buyers, perpetrating a grave injustice against the Stool and community.

In response, Okuapehene has vowed to crack down on this illegality and will meet punitive measures to the offenders.

The list of lands affiliated with the Okuapehene’s stool, presented for proper consideration before any transactions, includes but is not limited to:

Adampranya land

Adwowa Ahemase land

The land of the capital Akropong and its outskirts

Akokoase land

Amampurobi land

Otutuauo land

Obuoni or Bireku-bireku land

Aberewa Antra lands

Asase Koko land

Paratu lands

Asuafufu lands

Safo Lands

Ahabante lands

Konko lands

Kokofa lands

Atabui lands

Tinkong land

Asuoyah lands

Atwereboanna lands

Densu lands

Mangoase lands

Opetebetwawow lands

Panto lands

Atwubeiase and Aboasa lands

Akoko land

Kwabeng Kwabeng land

Abotakyi land

The general public is hereby cautioned against engaging in transactions involving these lands without the requisite approval from the Stool authorities, as doing so may result in the loss of property or land ownership due to the illegal nature of the purchase.

Since ascending the stool as Okuapehene in 2020, Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III has consistently implemented measures aimed at propelling Okuapemman towards a future marked by development and prosperity.

 

Such measures in this particular case is the Akuapem Customary land secretariat which has been launched and in the process of being setup; when fully implemented, it will curtail all illegalities with land sale and purchase in Okuapeman.
