The Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has expressed disgust over admission by Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo that his voice was behind the kidnapping and fire outbreaks the country experienced some years ago.
Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako’s assertion follows a recent interview the National Chairman for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) granted an Accra based radio station where he stated that “when people in the NDC want to disgrace you, they first tag you as anti-Mahama. My own party people recorded me at the meeting held with the leadership of the party and sold it to the NPP who are prosecuting me on that. I have been to court seventy times”.
According the NPP Chairman popularly known as Chairman Wontumi the admission by Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo that his voice was recorded by his own party members, is a clear indication that Ofosu-Ampofo is truly behind the spate of kidnapping that rocked the country.
The docket on the case in which the National Chairman for the NDC, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, has been charged by the police has been sent to the Attorney General for advice and further action.
In the aftermath of the Ayawaso by-election shooting, a leaked tape captured Mr. Ofosu Ampofo purportedly calling for kidnappings and political assassinations in the country.
