Several prominent members of the New Patriotic Party who are participating in the NPP’s National Delegates Conference spent quality time sharing their opinion on numerous issues that distance the ruling party from its main rival, the NDC when they made appearances on the makeshift studios mounted by Movement TV in Accra at the event grounds.
In all their narratives, what, however, appeared to be uppermost on their mind was the Free Senior High School programme.
Guests upon guests who appeared live on the political talk show programme which became a major feature of the ongoing event hailed the flagship programme as the best social intervention mechanism the government under Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has delivered to the people of Ghana.
The Western Regional Minister, Hon Kwabena Okyere Darko said the Free SHS will be a legacy the now and future generations would inherit and commended the government for the initiative.
According to him all over the country, the benefits of the free SHS have started to be realized and urged party members to feel proud about that particular achievement which is monumental.
He said even though the free SHS stands out, the government has performed equally well in the other sectors.
“In what can be termed unprecedented, the government has made major inroads in the health sector by putting several hospitals” he noted.
Mr Okyere Darko added that apart from the sectors he referred to, a lot has also been done in the construction of roads to open up the country.
“With these achievements, what needs to be done is for us to go out there and flaunt our achievements to convince the people of what we are capable of doing and will continue to do,” he challenged party members.
