Chairman Wontumi has unanimously been elected as the ‘Chairman of Chairmen’ by 15 regional Chairmen of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The ceremony to elect Chairman Wontumi as leader of the party’s regional Chairmen came off at the NPP’s former head office located at Kokomlemle in Accra.
He was entrusted by the group to lead them into the 2024 general elections with the sole aim of maintaining political power for the NPP.
An elated Chairman Wontumi in an interview with Wontumionline.com stated that he is honored to wear the crown his colleagues have put on his head.
“I don’t consider this as a ceremonial position; I consider this honor by my colleagues as a call to serve. I promise to serve the party with all that I have in me and to ensure the vision to maintain political power for the NPP is achieved”, Chairman Wontumi said.
He used the opportunity to thank his colleagues for seeing something good in him and praised them for the spirit of togetherness they exhibited in choosing him to lead the group.
