NPP Now Attractive In Sagnarigu, We Will Win More Parliamentary Seats- DCE Boasts
District Chief Executive for Sagnarigu, Hon. Hajia Mariam Iddrisu has hinted that the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has now become very attractive to the people of Sagnarigu.
According to her, the NPP’s popularity in the area will help the party win more parliamentary seats in the area come the December elections.
She indicated that, the unprecedented developmental projects in the area would let the NPP grab 15 out of the 18 Parliamentary seats in the Region.
Some of the projects the Sagnarigu DCE referred to were, the Tamale interchange, expansion of existing infrastructural projects in the roads and educational sectors – some of them abandoned by the NDC government – and the 40,000 capacity sports stadium being constructed in the area among many others.
Hon. Mariam Iddrisu in an interview with Oheneba Nana Asiedu on the Election 2020 programme revealed that, the NPP has never won the Parliamentary seat in her area before, but noted that due to the massive development projects that have sprung up in the area the story will be different this time around.
He emphasized that, “based on this we are positive the good people of Sagnarigu will give us four more years to do more for them”
” Some time past, the people did not focus more on development butr rather on the prevailing Chieftaincy dispute which made the NDC exploited to the disadvantage of the NPP. But Nana Akufo-Addo has solved it so the misfortunes have changed”
The Sagnarigu DCE noted that so much efforts have gone into educating the people on the social intervention policies the NPP have introduced and this will definitely informed their decision when they go to the polls on December 7, by voting for the NPP.
