NPP Lady Donates To Orphanage On Birthday

Miss Ophelia Samaaba Prempeh-Kessie, the Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) branch at Subin on Monday morning donated food items including toiletries to the Perfect Peace Foundation, an orphanage within Subin.

Arriving early at the orphanage, the NPP lady surprised the over 70 kids with a breakfast party to start the day.

Enjoying a variety of meals like Milo, porridge (local and hausa) as well as ‘’Tom-brown’’ with bread and boiled eggs, the kids ate with some excitement on their faces.

Cutting a birthday cake with a prayer from one of the kids, 8 year old Christiana Addo prayed for long life and good health for  Miss Ophelia who is popularly known as ‘’Emfresh.’’

DONOR:

Speaking to this reporter, Miss Ophelia noted with delight the opportunity to give to make kids happy.

She said having had the privilege of life and celebrating an additional day, which is her birthday, she decided to bless the kids at the home.

The NPP lady prayed for the kids and narrated that from a humble beginning God has helped her to rise to become the first female Students Representative Council (SRC) President at the Kumasi branch of the Ghana Institute of Management and   Professional Studies (GIMPA) and also Director of Communications of Subin NPP.

‘’My humble prayer for these kids is that God should grant them grace and mercy to live long to achieve better feats than I so that they can also donate to help the needy and the underprivileged in the society’’, Miss Ophelia stated.

KIDS:

Some of the elated kids shared their happiness with this reporter, noting that they wished that more kindhearted persons like Miss Ophelia would come to their aid at the Orphanage.

7 year old, Kwasi Debrah said Miss Ophelia has given her one of the best meals he had ever eaten and prayed for God’s protection and covering for the NPP lady.

Sussana Abrafi, a 5 5-year-oldirl wearing an infectious smile told this reporter that she loved birthday celebrations and wished that she gets to be celebrated as Miss Ophelia has blessed them to see.

Present at the Orphanage were some friends and family of Miss Ophelia who played and shared memorable times with the infants at the home.
