The National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, has announced plans to conduct transparent polling station elections using valid NPP membership cards.
He explained that nomination forms will be sold for GH¢10, followed by nominations, vetting, and open elections that party members can witness. Only registered members will be allowed to vote, and he assured supporters that no individual will be permitted to manipulate the process.
From March 1 to March 31, party members can register at their respective polling stations where they vote. The NPP has introduced a continuous registration system, including online registration and house-to-house registration for members who are unwell or unable to visit registration centers.
After the registration period, the party will take two weeks to verify and validate the membership register.
Nana Boakye also welcomed individuals from other political parties, including the Convention People’s Party (CPP) and the NDC, who wish to join the NPP.
