Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia has hailed the positive impact the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has had Ghanaians through the party’s digitalization drive.
He stated during a massive rally at Kumawu over the weekend that the NPP has transformed Ghana through digitalization whilst the National Democratic Congress (NDC) failed to do it.
The vice President threw a jab at the NDC by describing them as a political party that to took Ghana to the ‘akonfem’ age.
“NPP has taken Ghana to a digital age but NDC took us to ‘akonfem’ age”, he mockingly said.
Boasting of the digital strides the NPP has made on the economy, he stated that Ghanaians are able to currently renew the status of their National Health Insurance on phone whilst it was impossible under the regime of the NDC.
He also noted that buying of prepaid credit from ECG is now possible under the leadership of the NPP when it was unheard of during the regime of NDC led by former President John Mahama.
Touching on the reduction of fuel prices on the Ghanaian market, vice President Bawumia stated that “today we have gold for oil and fuel prices are coming down”.
