‘NPP Government Will Not Disappoint You, Rely On Us’ – Sanitation Minister To Ghanaians
The Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, Hon. Cecilia Abena Dapaah, says Ghanaians voted for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) with a purpose and that is to develop the country.
According to her, “ the government is therefore working tirelessly to justify the ‘four more for Nana’ slogan which became the NPP’s campaign message for the 2020 elections .
She is convinced that, the Akufo-Addo’s government cannot under any circumstance disappoint Ghanaians and that they should be hopeful for a better future.
The one time member of Parliament for Bantama, who was Speaking on Wontumi Radio and TV ‘s Morning Show programme on Monday, called on Ghanaians to throw their unflinching support behind the government to develop the country rapidly.
According to her, the NPP is the only party that has the capability to sustainably develop the country.
She said that, by the end of Nana Akufo-Addo’s second term, water crisis confronting some communities in the country would have been a thing of the past.
“Every Region in Ghana would have gotten access to water by the end of the Akufo-Addo’s regime.” She emphasized.
According to the Minister, to meet this objective, “eight mega water projects are already under construction across the country which will boost supply to residents of Tamale, Navrongo, Damango, Wenchi, Keta, Dambai, Kpone and Kumasi .”
She disclosed that, Ghc 140 million would be used in executing the projects which would serve about 4.5 million people when completed.
The Sanitation and Water Resources Minister advised those engaged in illegal mining to put a stop to it as well as those who dump plastic wastes in water bodies.
