NPP government is delivering on its promises Despite economic hardship – Tano South MP

The member of parliament for Tano South constituency in the Ahafo Region Honorable Benjamin Yeboah Sekyere has said that the Nana Addo -Bawumia-led NPP government is delivering on their developmental promises despite the country’s economic woes and our pursue of an IMF bailout.

The member of parliament in an interview with newsmen during an inspection on the progress of the Bechem – Tachimantia – Akumadan stretch road reconstruction stated that the president has been good to the people of Tano South Constituency and Ahafo region at large in ensuring the reconstruction of the above-mentioned stretch road that links Ahafo region to Bono east region which according to him will build peaceful co-existence between the two regions and facilitate effective transportation.

He added that the contract which was awarded by President Akufo Addo in 2022 is the biggest in the Ahafo region and so Ghanaians must develop a strong interest in the NPP government because they are poise to deliver on their mandate despite the country’s economic challenges and the woo for financial support from the IMF.

The member of parliament refuted some claims on the project speculated to be funded by an NGO and World Bank disclosing that the contract was funded by the Government of Ghana through a Dutch bank in Frankfurt (Germany) and so those discrediting the effort of the government in the construction of the said road must bow down in shame stressing that credit must be given when credit is due.

He reiterated that the president has Tano South municipal at heart hence ensuring the construction of their roads and so constituents must reward the party with their votes in 2024 to support the party’s breaking the 8 agenda.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Honorable Collins Offinam Takyi who was part of the inspection team noted that the contractor has been superb with great construction processes.

In his interaction with the contractor, he revealed that the contractor has made him aware of about 70% completion of the road with about 30% remaining for the final stage of the construction and so he is impressed with the work of the contractor and his entourage.
