The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Columbus Chapter of the USA branch has honored the Mayor of Kumasi, Hon Samuel Pyne.
The Chapter said it has over the years enjoyed the work rate and commitment of Mr Pyne to the NPP and Ghana as a whole.
Presenting a plaque to the Mayor at a dinner organised in his honour, Michael Amoako, Columbus Chapter Chairman said the Chapter was honoured to have Mr Pyne in person to show gratitude to him.
Hon Pyne, the Chapter noted has played fatherly roles to them and many others in the NPP.

The Chapter said it has benefitted from the wise counsel of Mr Pyne, who they call “Royal Mayor”.
The Chairman disclosed that Mr Pyne when he was Secretary of the Ashanti Regional branch of the NPP defended the party to their admiration.
These sterling qualities, the Chapter finds it worth emulating.
Presenting the plaque, the Chapter Chairman who was flanked by James Owusu, 1st Vice Chairman NPP-USA, Danny Opoku Antwi, Youth Organiser of NPP-USA and Prince Ampem, Deputy Communications Director of NPP-USA thanked Mr Pyne for his sacrifices to the NPP.
BACKGROUND:
The Mayor of Kumasi, Hon Samuel Pyne has for the past two weeks toured the United States of America.
The aim of the visit was to create partnerships with cities KMA shares relationships with and also explore others that share similar vision in tourism, commerce, entertainment and culture.
The Mayor has so far toured Columbus City, Dallas in Ohio, Charlotte Street and New York.
Hon Pyne is billed to round off the visit in the US by Wednesday and would be using the opportunity to build more relationships between Kumasi and other sister cities in the states.
