NPP Chief Whip Hints Of Party To Get Majority Caucus In Parliament
New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chief Whip, Hon. Frank Annor Dompreh has revealed that, a crunch meeting has been held in Parliament to decide between NPP and NDC who gets the majority caucus.
Speaking exclusively on Wontumi Radio and TV Morning Show, Hon. Annor Dompreh said that, the Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Alban Bagbin will on Friday announce to Ghanaians the party which won the Majority Caucus.
“The standing orders of Parliament indicate that the party that forms the government gets the majority caucus.” He told Oheneba Nana Asiedu.
The Nsawam-Adoagyiri MP noted that the independent MP for Fomena, Hon. Andrew Amoako Asiamah has chosen to sit with the NPP in Parliament, “and it makes the NPP the majority caucus.”
Hon. Annor Dompreh affirmed that, “there is no cause for alarm so NPP supporters should remain calm”
