Kumasi Council Of Christian Churches Clarifies has at a press confab to clarify issues surrounding the building of the National Cathedral.
Speaking to the media in Kumasi, the Member Secretary of the Project, Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng categorically stated that it is a blatant lie that a member of the board has resigned.
“No national cathedral member has resigned and is ready to do so,” he said.
He revealed that Dr Osei Mensah Otabil for personal reasons stayed back three years ago and that the board was not ashamed to publicly announce his step back.
Rev. Kusi Boateng said Dr Mensah Otabil is always phoning to encourage and give suggestions to the board.
He stressed that the board remains resolute and stronger in building the National Cathedral.
The Member Secretary bemoaned that the politicisation has affected the mobilisation of funds for the project.
He said the mobilisation was skyrocketing until the moment fallacies started to be spread which discouraged contributors.
Rev. Kusi Boateng appealed to the media to help mobilise funds for the project.
