NEHOPCOSA CEO Fetes With The Aged @ Asante Mampong

Chief Executive Officer of New Hope Charitable Outreach Service For The Aged (NEHOPCOSA), Mr. Daniel Atta Brenya has organized a new year party for the aged of 60 years and above at Asante Mampong.

According to him, the charitable service which is a Non-Governmental Organization noticed that, due to financial problem the aged finds it difficult to celebrate Christmas every year unlike the youth who can enjoy the occasion to the max.

In an interview with Nana Owusu Achiaw, Mr. Brenya revealed that the fete is organized every year adding that about 15 communities benefited from this year’s event.

According to Mr. Brenya the treatment that the whites give to the aged motivated him to also introduce such organization in Ghana.

He revealed that, it has been in existence for eleven years.

The CEO for NEHOPCOSA further revealed that about 31 communities have been beneficiaries since the organization was introduced.

“Our motive is to help the aged to secure good health, enjoyment in life and unity among them and their families.” He emphasized.

But Mr. Brenya stressed that, ageing is a blessing and that the aged helps to advise their family on the decision and the paths they should take in life.

“We should take good care of the aged because they have a lot of good things to offer us”

Challenges

The CEO of NEHOPCOSA made a passionate appeal to the government to come to his aid.

“Sometimes it really pains me if I’m not able to organize it.” He noted.

Some of the aged who had the opportunity to participate in the event said that, the introduction of the charitable service has given them new hope in life and for that matter God should bless Mr. Brenya.
