NDC’s Will Get Rid Of Free SHS If We Mistakenly Hand Over Power To Them-Ellen Ama Daaku

A communicator of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ellen Ama Daaku, has said the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will get rid of the free Senior High School (SHS) policy if the NPP’s mistakenly hand over power to them.

Speaking to Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning Show, she stressed that if the party goes into opposition, it will affect major social policies that have been introduced by the Nana-Addo led government.

In her submission she said, ‘’NDC’s have been in power for 16 years and the NPP is yet to be in power for 16 years, but if you are to compare the social initiatives these two institutions have introduced, it clearly tells that the NPP has massively contributed to the socio-economic development of the country, and have massively contributed to the standard of living of Ghanaians. The NDC’s claim they are social democrats but they can’t point out to any social intervention program they have introduced. They the NPP’s who are capitalist are rather embarking on more social policies’’.

”I didn’t give birth early- I had my first born in 2012 and the second born in 2015, so I didn’t enjoy the free maternal care that was introduced by President Kufuor, and my first child is yet to complete Junior High School- meaning I can only enjoy the Free SHS Policy after 2024. I have made a lot of noise about the policy; I need to enjoy its benefit. If we allow the NDC’s to assume power, they will cancel the policy”, she added.

Ama Daaku encouraged party members to ensure the party retains power come 2024.
