Dr. Samuel Afriyie has said the positioning of John Dramani Mahama on the presidential ballot paper will hurt the chances of all parliamentary candidates of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Speaking on the Wontumi Morning Show, Dr. Afriyie stated that the NDC is “not happy” with the position of candidate Mahama on the ballot.
He explained that NDC parliamentary candidates would have a change of position on the ballot in their respective regions because some political parties would not field candidates in certain constituencies.
Dr Afriyie however stated that the positioning of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP’s) presidential candidate on the ballot makes it easier for them to sell their parliamentary candidates as well.
“Number 1 is good because it will run through everywhere for both the presidential and parliamentary”, he said.
