Broadcast journalist Oheneba Nana Asiedu has made a startling allegation that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) sees Chairman Wontumi as a potential future National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and is therefore attempting to discredit him prematurely.
According to Oheneba, this perceived plot is nothing, but a diversionary tactic aimed at deflecting attention from the current government’s challenges.
Meanwhile, the Chief Executive Officer for Akonta Mining Company Limited, Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has promised to sue the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Armah Kofi Buah, for spreading falsehood about his mines.
Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako aka Chairman Wontumi stated that he is determined to pursue the matter in court rather than allow the minister to tarnish his image pin galamsey allegations on his company.
“We will take the minister to court, he can’t tarnish our image”, Chairman Wontumi said in an interview with Wontumionline.com.
