The Bono regional chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe better known as Abronye DC has opined that the currently appointed Supreme court judges by Akufo-Addo are competent than John Dramani Mahama.
Speaking on Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV/ Wontumi Radio, he noted that even the minority in Parliament are aware that the Judges are competent and hence the reason the approve them.
“If they are not competent, I doubt the minority will approve them…because the house is now divided, and we cannot say that the judges were approved because the NPP had more numbers…so this is a clear indication that even the minority believes that the judges are competent and thus the reason they are approved…Mahama should stop attacking them…they are more competent than he is”, he told Kwaku Dawuro.
He added that if the NDC had any of the supreme court Judges as members of the party, they would have chosen any of them over John Dramani Mahama as their flagbearer.
“We could line-up the current supreme court judges and compare them one after the other to Mahama, and we would get to know that he comes nowhere closer to any of them in terms of competence”, he stressed.
Abronye DC pleaded with President Akufo-Addo to quickly appoint new Judges to the Supreme court after the retirement of two judges.
