Considering the damage Chairman Wontumi has done to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Ashanti region, the party has sent a strong delegation to the region to do whatever they can to ensure he isn’t retained as Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The NPP’s 2nd Vice Chairman Manhyia North, Mr. Ernest Kwaku Agyei, made the above revelation as he pointed out that a strong team has been sent by the top hierarchy of the NDC to work against Chairman Wontumi.
Speaking on the Wontumi Morning Show, Mr. Ernest Kwaku Agyei hinted that he received a phone call from a member of the NDC who told him that his party (NDC) know the damages Chairman Wontumi has done to them and are also planning to pay him back in his own coin as the NPP prepares to hold their regional elections.
“I received a phone call from my friend in the NDC who said the harm Chairman Wontumi has done to them still hurts them so they are coming for retaliation”, the Manhyia North Chairman said.
Regional elections
The regional executive elections and for that matter the Regional Annual Delegates Conference that has been approved by the council, will be held between May 20 and May 22, 2022.This elections will also be supervised by the Regional Elections Committee.
