NDC Owe Ghanaians An Apology For Petitioning The Supreme Court- Dr. Owoahene Acheampong

A lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Dr. Owoahene Acheampong, has said the National Democratic Congress (NDC) owe Ghanaians an apology for deceiving us with a fictitious election petition in 2021.

According to the lecturer who made the comment on Wontumi TV, the outcome of the lies peddled by the NDC in the aftermath of the 2020 election could have been dire and resulted in a war.

“NDC owes us a national apology. They could have destroyed the nation through war because of their lies”, Wontumionline.com monitored him say.

Before the NDC’s 10th delegate congress, Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia secretly addressed some members of his party and informed them about the tricks he wanted to use in 2020 to claim victory for the party.

General Mosquito as he is affectionately called alleged that he was not having any single evidence to show to the Judges at the Supreme Court.

He blamed the former chairman of the party, Mr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo for the party’s shoddy work in relation to the election petition which failed to support his frivolous schemes.

When we were doing the collation, the system you (Chairman Ofosu Ampofo) brought saying it is robust and strong, when we collated five Regions; we are told it has crashed. This is the truth. So, when we decided to go to court, we agreed to do manual collation. So, we gathered some people to collect the pick sheets and our Chairman sat on the Collation Committee that he will handle the collation. He went for some University people who did some shoddy work. When the time was up for me to stand in the dock, the results that they gave me if I use it to defend the case, I will be disgraced so we couldn’t send those results to the court”.

But Dr. Owoahene Acheampong maintains that the NDC deliberately lied to Ghanaians when they knew they couldn’t even collate their results.
