The New Patriotic Party (NPP) was denied an opportunity to break the 8 year political cycle in 2008 because of disunity, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the party has said.
In a welcome address to a gathering that attended the party’s National Annual Delegates Conference in Kumasi, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako stated that the party has learnt from its past mistake and is determined to correct it by winning the 2024 elections.
The NPP Chairman popularly known as Chairman Wontumi stated that due to disunity, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) managed to spread lies about the party and that affected them by delaying from winning the 2008 elections.
“NDC denied us in 2008, but not this time round”, Chairman Wontumi vowed.
He used the platform to praise President Akufo-Addo by describing him as the “best” President who deserved the recognition Forbes bestowed on him recently.
