NDC Can Never Develop Free SHS- Dept. Education Minister Chides

A Deputy Education Minister who doubles as Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe Constituency, Hon. Dr. Osei Yaw Adutwum, together with the District Chief Executive of the area, Hon. Joseph Kwasi Asumeng on Tuesday inspected some ongoing government’s development projects in the constituency.

Some of the projects that the two prominent government officials toured at Kuntanase were:
The Construction of a KG classroom block with headmistress Office, washroom and kitchen. Funded under 1million per constituency ;

The construction of an Ambulance bay with residential accomodation which is about 45% complete.

 

Donation of bus to the Bosomtwe District Assembly.

Construction of COVID-19 isolation center at Kuntanase District Hospital;

Donation of school bus under GETfund to St George’s SHS and the construction of a pavilion and dining hall for the school at Kuntanase and inspection of three unit teachers quarters for the St George’s SHS which is ongooing.

Police barrier at Onwe;

Construction of CHIP compound at Akokofe;

Inspection of the first ever Girls Science Senior High School in Ashanti which is under construction at Deduako being funded by GNPC.

Construction of Vesta Oil Mills Company Limited which produces Soya bean oil and cake at Deduako.

The new site for St Michael Vocational and Technical school at Pramso.

A new ultramodern Assembly Hall which is also under construction at Jachie Pramso Senior High School (JAPASS). as inspeceting the above projects the MP and DCE also toured a two storey 12-Unit classroom and boys and girls dormitory blocks to end the double track system which are under construction at the SHS.


Apart from the above projects the delegation visited the construction of a Science and Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Academy which is on course at Jachie as well as the Osei Yaw Adutwum SHS, formerly a private school now turned a public tertiary institutioin.


The team later visited. 3 unit JHS and Primary classroom blocks at Prenyase.

In an exclusive interview with Wontumi TV Hon. Osei Adutwum made an emphatic statement that the opposition NDC can never develop the free Senior High School the Akufo-Addo led government has introduced.

He hinted that, some NDC members are even convinced that there is no way the leading opposition is can develop the free SHS policy which indeed is true.

According to the Hon. Deputy Minister of Education a time will soon come when Ghanaians will witness a massive transformation of the education system because, ”President Akufo-Addo has secured a 500 million dollar loan to develop all public schools which the under-resourced ones would be the greatest beneficiaries.

He said that looking at the landmark achievements in the Education sector, President Akufo-Addo deserves commendation

“Ghana can be compared to some advanced countries because her citizens now now enjoy free water, electricity and food.”

Hon. Adutwum indicated that, “the ship of the country has been given to a captain who knows how to navigate his way and will definitely take the passengers to the promise land.
“Ghana has thus, been saved from handed to the one who just wake up from his slumber and make promises he can’t fulfill.”

The Deputy Minister is hopeful that come December 7, majority of Ghanaians will vote for the one with a vision and also development-oriented to lead the country and that persons is Nana Addo.Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

For his part, Hon. Lawyer Joseph Kwasi Asuming also stated that, he is overwhelmed by the massive development on-going in his area..

He said that, the projects are not ghost projects nor green book projects rather physical projects.

Hon. Asumeng disclosed that, he is very happy to see the area being have its first asphalted road.

He appealed to Ghanaians to extend the mandate of President Akufo-Addo for a further four years to do more for the country.
