A communicator of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Akom, has made startling revelations about the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) alleged strategy to intimidate and silence NPP members.
In an interview with Oheneba Nana Asiedu on Wontumi’s morning show, Akom claimed that the NDC’s primary objective is to instill fear in NPP members who dare to speak out against the government’s wrongdoings.
According to him, the NDC’s tactics are designed to cripple the NPP’s ability to hold the government accountable. He encouraged NPP executives to remain confident and provide evidence to counter the NDC’s false claims. Akom emphasized the need for the NPP to maintain a permit file with evidence documents, which will serve as a vital tool in debunking the NDC’s misinformation.
Furthermore, Akom stressed the importance of having insurance in place to protect party representatives who may face persecution or harassment from the NDC. He also advocated for the NPP to seek guidance through the legal scheme, ensuring that the party’s actions are always within the bounds of the law.
To ensure accountability and transparency, Akom underscored the need for truthful and rightful documents that can identify President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia’s accomplishments during their tenure. This, he believes, will help to counter the NDC’s propaganda and provide a accurate record of the NPP’s achievements.
