Whenever the National Democratic Congress (NDC) attains a new age, corruption in the party hits it apex, the Ashanti Regional Chairman, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has said.
The Ashanti Regional Chairman also known as Chairman Wontumi jabbed former President John Mahama for failing to acknowledge in his latest post about the NDC that anytime the party attains a new age, corruption hits the roof.
According to Chairman Wontumi, Mr. Mahama should have informed his party members about the evil the NDC stands for and stop describing it as a principled one.
His jibe comes on the back of the statement issued by the former President on Friday, June 10, 2022 celebrating 30 years of NDC.
Chairman Wontumi indicated to Wontumionline that if the NDC has attained 30, it simply means corruption in Ghana is also 30 years in their party.
A portion of0 Mr. Mahama’s statement on Facebook read;
Arise, Arise for Ghana today and forever!
Thirty (30) years ago the National Democratic Congress (NDC) was birthed with the objective of delivering Unity, Stability and Development to all Ghanaians.
Through the leadership of Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings (Rtd.), supported by his formidable team, the NDC emerged out of the PNDC as the vanguard leading the nation in the establishment of a new constitutional democracy, which guaranteed the rights and freedoms of all Ghanaians.
On this solemn day, I commend our forebears who have sacrificed their all to get us here.
Is okada a good policy?
Chairman Wontumi quizzed Mr. Mahama to answer Ghanaians whether okada is a good policy if he indeed believes the essence of democracy is to make life better for all citizens.
The NPP Chairman underscored that if Mr. Mahama believes that democracy is to make life better for all citizens, then he shouldn’t have been rubbishing the free SHS policy the NPP introduced and urging the youth to get into okada riding.
Ibrahim Mahama bauxite thievery
Chairman Wontumi silenced Mr. Mahama on his claims that the NDC also believes democracy goes beyond enriching family and friends, because it involves using the nation’s resources responsibly to address the felt needs of all Ghanaians.
It would be recalled that before John Mahama exited office, he prepared a last minute illegal takeover for his own brother, Ibrahim Mahama to control Ghana’s bauxite.
Chairman Wontumi therefore prompted Mr. Mahama to stop making mockery of himself since every corrupt record of his is still fresh in the minds of Ghanaians.
