Former President John Mahama could have landed himself into hot waters if the National Security had decided to move in and arrest him for using the Asomdwe Park, Lawyer Maurice Ampaw has declared.
The seasoned lawyer explained on Wontumi TV that he was surprised former President John Mahama led some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to boycott the 10-year anniversary of President Atta Mills’ passing.
Despite being named on the programe outline that was distributed at the event, former President Mahama deliberately absented himself from the state event and rather decided to join his political party to organize a similar event at the same venue.
“Mahama must be arrested for using the place after the ceremony. That place is a security zone. It was a national disgrace”, Lawyer Ampaw said of the Mahama led NDC ceremony that took place after official 10-year anniversary the state organized.
He continued that it was even a disgrace for Mr. Mahama to use the same venue he failed to rehabilitate for his former boss.
