Nana Appeals To Independent Candidate @ Fomena To Support NPP To Win The Election
His Excellency, President Akufo-Addo has again appealed to the Independent candidate at Fomena, Hon. Andrew Akwasi Asiamah, to rescind his decision and support the NPP to win the 2020 Elections.
He urged the independent candidate to put every bitterness behind him and support what is in the best interest of the party.
He noted that, the constituency Chairman for the area, Hon. Kwasi Nti who has been the center of the issue is serving his last term as Chairman for the NPP in the area.
Addressing Nananom and residents and monitored by Wontumionline.com at Akrokerri, President Akufo-Addo said that, if Hon. Asiamah steps down as independent candidate his compromise would be duly acknowledged and he will be rewarded accordingly.
He said Hon. Atta Boafo who encountered a similar situation didn’t give up on the party
“Hon. Atta Boafo who encountered similar challenge didn’t give up on the party. Now he is the Ghana’s Consul General, Congo Brazaville.” He said
President Akufo-Addo reminded the independent that when he gets the opportunity to rule the country again he will work more closely with NPP members Members of Parliament and not those who are independent.
“It would be sad for Fomena not to get a Ministerial appointee in my next term because of this challenge.”
Nana Akufo-Addo appealed to Nananom and the electorate to vote for him and the NPP PC, Hon. Philip Ofori Asante so that Fomena and it’s environs will get a deserving facelift.
