The Bono-East Regional Secretary for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), David Boakye, has described Nana-Addo’s government as the most effective government that commendably managed strikes and demonstration in their tenure.
He made this known during an interview on Movement In The Morning Political Show.
He said ‘’in our first term in government, we did not experience any strike under the educational sector. Under the NDC’s 8 years of administration, teachers went on strike every two years”
“The first group of public sector workers to go on strike in 2013 was the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) and National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT). In less than a week after NAT and NAGRAT returned to work, members of the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) began indefinite strike to demand for the immediate payment of all salary arrears since 2012’’, he added.
He indicated that the Nana Addo and the NPP led administration must be allowed to continue the mantle of leadership.
