President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has shown gratitude to the Asantehene, Otumfuor Osei Tutu for allocating the vast land on which the newly constructed bungalows for Appeal Court Judges for the middle and northern sectors of the country have been put up.
The location is Danyame, one of the most restive suburbs of Kumasi.
The plush gated cluster of apartments are on the precincts of the Regional Co-ordinating Council (RCC) and strategically situated.
Nana Addo poured the encomiums on the overlord of the Asante Kingdom when he commissioned the Appeals Court Judges Residential Complex in Kumasi on Monday.
The commissioning of the government’s pet project formed part of the priority projects initiative by the Nana Addo government.
Each of the four bed room bungalow which is 20 in number is fenced. Its attractions include a swimming pool and a Tennis court.
The President said his government and the People of Ghana are together grateful and appreciative of what the Asantehene has done to improve judicial administration in the country.
According to the President, in the course of the first term of his administration he took note of the inadequate number of courts in various parts of the country resulting in citizens traveling in long distance to gain access to court.
He Commended the office of the Chief Justice, His Lordship Yaw Anim Yeboah, his predecessor Justice Sophia Akufo, the former Minister for (LGDRD) Hon. Hajia Alima Mahama, the current (LGDRD) Minister Hon. Dan Botwe who is also the MP for Okere, and Hon. Naa Toshie, the Administrator of the District Assembly Common Fund for their support .
