NADMO Staff At Asokwa Trained On Emergency Response.
Officials and staff at the Asokwa Municipal Assembly of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) have benefitted from a day’s training on rapid and emergency response duties.
The training concentrated on how staff could respond to fire situations as well as general disaster responses including resuscitation techniques on humans during accidents.
Opening the day’s training, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Asokwa, Chief Akwannuasah Gyimah commended the staff for availing themselves for the training.
He however urged them to take the training serious so that it could shape them to be able to respond to emergency situations with tact and precision.

Speaking to this reporter after the day’s training, Eric Nana Akosah, Municipal Director of NADMO at Asokwa said the training was a useful one.
He noted that staff were taught how to apply simple techniques in combating fire outbreaks in the house and workplaces.
Mr Akosah said more time were spent by the officer from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) in fire prevention.
He also noted that the officer from the Ghana National Ambulance Service took the NADMO staff through simple drills in handling human casualty and emergency situations.
PLANS:
The Director intimated the desire of Management to periodically train staff to acquire new skills and experience in emergency responses.
This, he noted would properly and adequately prepare staff for future assignments and tasks.
He said the ability of staff to efficiently and effectively deal with situations would be dependent on the kind of training they have.
NADMO, he revealed wants to become the best in the field of emergency response as well as management of crisis situations in the country.
