Award winning Ghanaian hi-life legend, MzBel, has revealed her intentions of collaborating with some top notch artistes in Nigeria like Burna Boy and Don Jazzy.
MzBel made known of her intentions in an interview with Cindy Cash, on To Wobo Twi Mi, on Wontumi radio, on Thursday, 17th August, 2023. According to her she does noes not support the stereotype of disregarding Ghanaian aging musicians. She lamented on how some artists in Ghana consider themselves bigger than her, hence refuse to work with her and noted that her team is in talks with some Nigerian artistes to have a collaboration.
”Old age is not a crime, I am still singing. As humans we have to grow but they want to discourage you by calling you old artiste and former artiste. I want to try Nigerian because I haven’t tried it before. I am speaking to Burna boy and Don Jazzy, they are well marketed. We have people with reach here but if you want to work with them they feel like you want to use them. They consider their brand to be bigger than others,” she asserted.
