My Wife Almost Divorced Me For Using My Kids’ School Fees To Sponsor Hearts Of Oak – Harry Zhakkour

Former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Accra Hearts of Oak, Harry Zhakkour, shared a story about how his wife was upset with him for using their children’s school fees to sponsor the club.

He explained that he had to cover the club’s travel expenses for a competition, which led him to use the school fees.

Zhakkour noted that this decision caused significant tension in his marriage, almost leading to divorce.

“I paid for the tickets and travel expenses of the team for a competition. I used my kids’ school fees to make those payments, and my wife almost divorced me,” he told Muftawu Nabila in a yet-to-be-aired interview on JoyNews.

He added that the issue was resolved amicably, preserving their marriage.

Zhakkour, who also served as Chairman of Great Olympics before joining Hearts of Oak, reflected that the money spent on the club could have earned substantial interest if saved in a bank.

He managed Hearts of Oak for six years, achieving numerous trophies in Ghana and Africa, but eventually left due to criticism from some club members.
