MTN Welcomes Christmas Day Borns With Hampers At KATH
MTN Ghana has given a special welcome to babies born on Christmas Day with hampers at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).
The telecommunications giants presented the hampers which contained assorted baby care products to the lucky mothers on Saturday morning.
Thirty (30) babies including; 18 delivered on 25th and 12 others on 26th December at the facility benefited from the annual donation by MTN.
A total of 120 hampers were simultaneously presented to such babies in selected health facilities in the Northern sector of the country.
Mrs Adwoa Afrakoma Baah Obeng, Acting General Manager of Northern Ghana, said MTN had been reaching out to babies delivered on Christmas Day as part of its corporate social responsibility since 2011.
She said Christmas was a season of giving and sharing of love and that MTN considered the babies as gift to the world who must be shown love on such a festive occasion.
“We see this as our way of giving back to society. We may not be able to do everything that everyone requires but occasions like this gives us the opportunity to share what we have to show appreciation to our customers”, she pointed out.
She said even in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, MTN was determined to honour its corporate responsibilities because it was passionate about putting smiles on the faces of customers.
Ms. Esther Frimpomaa, Nurse in Charge of the Intensive Care Unit and Recovery Ward, applauded MTN for the gesture and called for more support from other corporate bodies.
