MTN Donates PPEs To 5 Hospitals In Ashanti .
Officials of telecommunications giant, MTN Ghana, on Tuesday morning presented personal protective equipment (PPE) to three hospitals namely Ejisu government hospital, KNUST hospital and Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in the Ashanti region.
Two other hospitals in same region would have their share of the donation in the course of week.
Ashanti region would therefore have five hospitals benefitting from the benevolence of the mobile giant which is being done in 29 hospitals across the country.
Speaking at separate events in the Region during the donation, Nii Adotey Mingle, General Manager in Charge of MTN Northern Business District said the company is committed to resourcing hospitals to stem the COVID-19 disease spread.

The General Manager noted that government needed support from other outfits to enable it fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
Currently, he noted that the disease had proven to have a first, second and a possible third waves of infections.
This, Mr Adotey intimated needed a radical action to contain same.
The donation to these hospitals across the country, he stressed is therefore to enable them deal with cases that are reported for attention.
APPRECIATION:
Speaking to the media after receiving the items, Director of Nursing Services, Madam Georgina Afua Sam thanked MTN for the gesture.
She said the donation was timely and would be used to address pressing demands at the hospital.
Madam Sam urged other institutions to emulate the gesture of MTN since the items donated get used up easily due to the pressing demand of same.
Items received by the hospitals consisted of face shields, gloves, contact- less thermometers, methylated spirit and coveralls.
