NPP Needs A Marketable Presidential Candidate- Kate Gyamfua

Kwabena Nsenkyira is advising against mounting of giant billboards stating emphatically that it tells a negative story about the New Patriotic Party (NPP). 

Speaking on Wontumi TV which was monitored by Wontumionline, the NPP stalwart stated that giant billboards annoy most Ghanaians and is seen as a show of opulence. 

“We don’t have to annoy people. If you have gotten money and you are raising billboards, it tells a lot of negative stories”, he addressed. 

His comments come on the back of a directive from that the party that it would not tolerate mounting of billboards as it prepares for its upcoming National Delegates’ Conference to be held in Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital next week 

Mr. Nsenkyire added that most candidates vying for various positions in the NPP started their life from places where things were tough for them and they couldn’t even afford paying for common posters but are today mounting giant billboard.

NDC’s motive 

Speaking on the party’s impending conference which is slated for 18th to 20th December, Mr. Nsenkyira stated that the National Democratic Congress(NDC)has an interest in the event and for that reason, have set aside funds to get some people they know would worry them in 2024 elections, out of the race. 

He ended by advising that the NPP lost the 2008 elections in 2007 due to the display of billboards. 

“We have been there before and we lost the 2008 elections in 2007 because of billboard issues”, he said.
