Celebrated Lawyer, Maurice Ampaw, has lashed out some Members of Parliament describing them as immature legislators.
In dissecting the fallout in Parliament that saw some MPs assaulting each other and acting unruly in the house before the new Speaker of Parliament was elected, Lawyer Maurice Ampaw stated on Wontumi TV that “Parliament needs deliverance”.
According to him, there is a demonic spirit that has taken over Ghana’s 8th Parliament and controlling the ways of the legislators.
The demon, in Lawyer Ampaw’s view, “has entered them and they have forgotten about their integrity and brand.”
He deliberately picked out President Akufo-Addo, Speaker Alban Bagbin, E.T Mensah and the late J.H Mensah and lauded them for distinguishing themselves when they once elected as Members of Parliament.
According to him, “they were matured and debated effectively in the house. They were superb. When the leadership of both sides stood to speak, they were decent and raised the standard and they deserved the title honorable.”
