Michael Owen Praises Antoine Semenyo After Crucial Goal For Bournemouth

Liverpool and Real Madrid legend Michael Owen has praised Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo, describing him as a “top talent” after his decisive goal secured AFC Bournemouth a vital 1-0 Premier League win over Fulham on Monday.

Semenyo’s goal ended Bournemouth’s six-game winless streak and proved to be the match-winner at the Vitality Stadium.

Speaking after the match, Owen expressed his admiration for the 24-year-old, saying, “I love him. If Mohamed Salah hadn’t extended his contract with Liverpool, Semenyo is the player I would’ve wanted to replace him. He’s just brilliant.”

The goal marked Semenyo’s eighth in the Premier League this season, and his first since January against Nottingham Forest. His consistent performances have made him one of Bournemouth’s standout players this season, earning him recognition from fans and pundits alike.

Reports indicate that both Liverpool and Arsenal are keeping tabs on Semenyo’s progress, though no official offers have been made yet.

The Ghana international has now matched Michael Essien’s Premier League goal tally, further cementing his rising reputation in English football.

Semenyo will look to add to his tally when Bournemouth face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park this Saturday.
