Make Ama Pomaa Boateng A Minister- Ras Obundi Appeals To Prez Akufo-Addo

A member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ras Obundi is appealing to the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to consider the Member of Parliament (MP) for Juaben a Minister of State or Deputy.

Speaking to this reporter Tuesday morning, Mr Obundi said the Juaben MP, Madam Ama Pomaa Boateng has shown her mettle by winning the parliamentary seat for the NPP on three occasions.

This, he noted, makes her a fitting person to hold a leadership position of trust such as a ministerial or a deputy minister.

Having contested the seat with men on her three attempts and coming tops anytime, the NPP vociferous member said the Juaben MP deserves a better recognition this time around.

FUTURE CONTESTS:

Mr Obundi said he envisages the 2024 general election to be much keener than the 2020 polls.

He said with this in mind there was the need to reward persons and MPs who have so far helped the party to build its base and to make it solid with a ministerial appointment.

According to the NPP man, the likes of Madam Pomaa who have shown great resolve to enhance the fortunes of the party need to be resourced as Ministers and Deputy Ministers to spearhead better development in their constituencies.

Mr Obundi said by such the party would also be watering the ground very well for whoever the NPP chooses as flag-bearer for the 2024 elections.

ATTRIBUTES:

Mr Obundi stressed that Madam Pomaa had every trait that endears her to people in her constituency and everywhere she sets her foot.

According to him, the Juaben MP is intelligent and has handled herself very well as being a member of the ECOWAS parliament.

Being an Information and Technology (IT) expert, Mr Obundi said the Juaben lawmaker possesses the potential to draw the youth to herself and provide them with support to take advantage of the technological advancements in the world.

Mr Obundi said having handled herself so well without any controversy, the female legislator for Juaben deserved a position to serve the country and her constituents at the higher level in government.
