Mahama's Petition Is The Most Cheapest Petition In Ghana...Not Loaded- Maurice Ampaw (VIDEO)

As a law practitioner, Lawyer Maurice Ampaw has described the 2020 election petition being heard at the Supreme Court as the cheapest petition recorded in the history of Ghana.

In comparing the 2012 election petition which was filed by President Akufo-Addo to that of the current one filed by former President John Mahama, Lawyer Ampaw simply stated that the 2020 petition is not loaded with issues.

If you carefully listen to the judges, you will get to know that this is cheapest election petition. When compared to the 2012 election petition, you get to see that the previous one is loaded with issues“, he said in an interview on Wontumi TV which was monitored by Wontumionline.com.

Further breaking down the relevance of the current petition, he stated that with this petition, the issues have been narrowed and the Supreme Court Judges keep telling the lawyers that “whatever you are doing, it bothers on valid vote count. How many votes did each party (2nd respondent and petitioner) obtain“.

Three-time Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama on Wednesday, December 30 caused his lawyers to file a petition at the Supreme Court to challenge results of the December 7 elections.

Among other reliefs he is seeking, Mr Mahama wants the results of the elections to be declared null and void.
