Mahama’s Case Was Not Properly Handled, Conducted And Prosecuted- Legal Practitioner
A private Legal Practitioner who doubles as the Deputy General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahen has indicated that, John Mahama’s election petition to challenge the validity of the 2020 election results at the Supreme Court was not properly handled, conducted and prosecuted by the former President’s legal team.
He reiterated that, John Mahama’s case failed on the day he decided not to testify and did no power of attorney.
Speaking on Wontumi TV/Radio’s Talk Ghana flagship programme, Nana Obiri Boahen said that, he didn’t understand why John Mahama decided not to testify.
According to him Asiedu Nketiah and the other witnesses fueled John Mahama’s petition lost.
The NPP Deputy General Secretary indicated that, only Asiedu Nketiah justified something, the other two should not have even mounted the witness box.”
He noted that, Chief Justice Anin Yeboah gave more examples of election petition cases to explain the verdict.
According to Nana Obiri Boahen, he cautioned the NDC members to stop insulting the Electoral Commission Chairperson, Jean Mensah because she has acquired every degree woman is supposed to acquired
He, however appealed to the NPP members to stop mocking John Mahama and his NDC for losing the case.
