. During President John Dramani Mahama’s recent trip to Germany, he splurged $130,000 as per diem on the 26-man delegation that accompanied him.
The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has revealed that the Office of the President, spent an amount of $5000 each on 26 individuals who joined President Mahama on his trip to Germany for the Munich Security Conference.
Kwame Baffoe Abronye, stated on Wontumi TV that inasmuch the taxpayer is the one funding the lavish trip of President Mahama, he has shown no mercy laying workers off en masse.
“…he promised Ghanaians to cut the expenditure of the Executive arm of government but when the President was travelling to Germany, he went with 26 delegations all made up of NDC. He gave each person $5000 as per diem”, Abronye said.
Last Wednesday, President Mahama departed Accra for Germany to attend the Munich Security Conference.
