A former acting Communications Director for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Adomako Baafi, has asked the National Democratic Congress to put a stop to their narrative that Ghana’s is an ailing one and can only be rescued by former President John Mahama.
The NPP communicator in an interview on the Wontumi Morning show which was monitored by Wontumionline.com, described former President Mahama as someone who has refused to take a pay cut just as President Akufo-Addo and his appointees have done since the emergence of COVID-19 and the Russian-Ukraine war that has crippled many economies.
He therefore wondered if the decision by Mr. Mahama and his wife Lordina Mahama not to accept a pay cut was a good one considering how vocal he has been when running down the economy under the leadership of President Akufo-Addo.
Mr. Adomako Baafi commended the government of President Akufo-Addo for outperforming his predecessor noting that under an ailing economy “there is electricity, workers are being paid and roads are being constructed”.
