Koku Anyidoho is accusing former President John Mahama of promoting ethnic cleansing in Ghana and asked him to take a cue from what happened in Rwanda, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
The former deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) believes the brandishing of offensive weapons at the office of Mr. Mahama clearly shows he is promoting ethnic cleansing.
On November 23, 2023, some NDC youth, led by Malik Basintale the deputy national communication director, stormed Mahama’s office under the pretext of a clean-up exercise but displayed weapons used not for weeding.
It is on the back of the act that Mr. Koku Anyidoho blasted his own party members and noted that “when human beings start referring to other human beings as animals, that is the beginning of ethnic cleansing.”
Speaking on Wontumi TV monitored by Wontumionline.com, he asked if the supposed clean-up exercise was meant to “kill antelopes, grass cutters, mice and animals…They will have no feelings when they want to kill. It happened at Rwanda, Liberia and Sierra Leone. They don’t care for the poor soul.”
